A Drive into the Gap
This book just jumped to the top of my reading list.

A Drive into the Gap is a true story about fathers and sons, baseball and memory, and the improbable journey of a bat from one of the most iconic moments in the history of the game to the bedroom of a 12-year-old boy.

ESPN: The Magazine featured the book in its Hall of Fame edition. The extended online version includes additional photos and video interviews with many of the characters in the book, as well as the author.
The book also has its own tumblr.
